Yanks Impressive In AFL
Not only is Phil Hughes showing what he is made of in his time in the Arizona Fall League (5 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 7 K, 5 BB), but the rest of the Yankees' prospects playing for Peoria are showing what they have to offer as well. Four games into the season, the Peoria Javelinas are 3-1, with many of the Yankees' prospects stepping up in big ways. First baseman Juan Miranda is 6-8 with two RBIs and three runs. Yankees' centerfielder of the future, Austin Jackson, is 3-13 with five RBIs and a walk. Finally, Yankees' pitcher Jeff Marquez has thrown two innings, allowing just one hit while striking out two.
